Hiei-zan Enryaku-ji Temple

Enryakuji temple has divided into three districts that are called "Todo", "Saito", and "Yokawa".

There is Enryaku-ji Temple in Otsu-shi, Shiga Prefecture , but it is registered with world cultural heritage of the UNESCO as a part of "Monuments of Ancient Kyoto".

Saicho, who introduced the Tendai sect to Japan, founded Enryakuji in 806.
